A lovely trip out on my Mountain Bike yesterday, started at the Ayres and then up the shore line to the Point of Ayre where I was treated to this vibrant Manx Heater and Gorse in full bloom.

The Winkie Lighthouse Point of Ayre - © Peter Killey This Lighthouse is the most northerly point in the Isle of Man and the image was taken on Sat 2nd July 2011 and shows a gentleman walking the long path to the Winkie Lighthouse – (click image for larger view).

Point of Ayre Lighthouse - © Peter KilleyWe had a walk around the Point of Ayre this afternoon (2/7/11) and on the way back to the car we passed the main entrance to the lighthouse which is also a private residence – (click image for larger view).
