Artic Terns – Point of Ayre
Artic Terns return to the Island at this time of year to lay their eggs and bring up their young.
These birds make some of the largest migrations known, flying from the Artic to Antarctic each year.
Sections of the beach at the Point of Ayre are roped off to protect the birds and it is an offence to disturb them so please respect our nature.
