New Shannon Class Lifeboat Visits Ramsey Harbour
The RNLI prototype Shannon class all-weather lifeboat is currently undergoing sea trials in the Irish Sea and is seen here visiting Ramsey Harbour. It’s the first modern RNLI all-weather lifeboat to be powered by water-jets instead of propellers, making it faster and more manoeuverable when reaching casualties and is expected to be seen within a year or two in the Isle of Man.
