An absolute fascinating Graveyard Tour of Kirk Michael Church last night conducted by Mike Clague of Michael Heritage Trust (approximately 30 peeps attended). So many Bishops buried here and so many interesting and famous stories attached to many graves. These three headstones caught my eye as they are part of the Kelly Family also knows as Kelly Brothers, Builders of Kirk Michael, with very appropriate headstones that represent roof pitches and roof tiles. Thanks you Mike Clague you are such a wealth of information.

Kirk Michael Church
A lovely feature to the entrance of Kirk Michael Church is this hand carved Lych gate. The foundation stone (bottom centre right) was laid on Easter Monday in 1907 by the Lieutenant Governor Lord Raglan, and it was formally opened on 16th October. 1907 by the Governors wife Lady Raglan.
