Standing on the headland at Glen Wyllin (south of Kirk Michael) and looking towards the sandy North West coast line of the Island up to Jurby Head. You can make out in the foreground the further coastal erosion (beyond the boulders) that have recently occurred due to the severe storms that we have been experiencing. The Sandy Coastline from Kirk Michael to Jurby
Quite a topical subject at the moment with the recent severe gales and the coastal erosion that has occurred due to the storms. I captured this image today whilst travelling from Peel of the sandy West coastline of the Island from Kirk Michael up to Jurby Head, with the evidence of coastal erosion quite prominent. You can also see in the top left of the image the white spire of Jurby Church and on the extreme right you can make out Kirk Michael Church.
