This beautiful Church in Onchan was built in 1833 and is dedicated to St. Peter
A little bit of trivia; The rain drip stones (I am sure that terminology is wrong) above the louvered openings in the Bell Tower are constructed with headstones and if you look up at them you can see names and inscriptions on them!

Great photo Peter.
Bit more trivia. St. Peter’s is built on the site of the church of the same name, in which a certain Captain Bligh married Elizabeth Betham, the daughter of a Douglas customs officer. His best man was a certain Fletcher Christian.
Nice one Paul
Such a wonderful Church steeped in history, all of the stained glass windows tell a story as well, worth a look around for anyone with a spare hour 🙂
Peter
Hi my Great Grandmother was born on the Isle of man, christened in the church of England St Peter’s church Kirk-German, I believe it would have been 28th Aug 1856.
Her name was Elizabeth Jane Campbell, Father William, mothers maiden name was Catharine Quilliam.
Don’t know when she came to Australia, here to the best of my knowledge she married a George or Phillip Austin, their daughter was named Ivy Gladys Quilliam Campbell Austin, and she ended up married to my Grandfather Cyril Grimstone.
I not sure, but maybe the St Peter s church on your web site may be the same church.
regards
John Grimstone
