Master Frank – RY95 is a Manx built, half-decker fishing boat seen here berthed in Ramsey Harbour.

Master Frank is the Island’s longest surviving half-decker. Records differ as to whether she was built in 1893 or 1895.

Measuring 40ft overall, Master Frank was built by Messrs. Clucas and Duggan, shipwrights, boat and canoe builders and block and spar makers, whose yard was at the rear of Marsden Terrace in Ramsey.

  1. Just picked up your photos of the master frank. When I was born she belonged to ‘Grandad Kinnin ‘my mum was his daughter Minnie KInnin .when he passed it was owned by my Uncle Willie. I am now living in Lancashire but so glad to see her in good shape in Rmsey where she belongs . Hope she is still well and will be over this year to see her. Many thanks . Used to love to watch my grandad and crew weave lobster pots in Coopers Lane where he lived. Great memories .
