(5 images in this post) The former Newson Trading Co. Ltd building on North Quay in Douglas. Lots of news about this protected building so went for a look with the drone and my street cam. North Quay & Douglas Marina
North Quay and Douglas Marina this evening. 🎄 More enjoyable than a trip to Tesco for sure 😂 Feel free to make any comments either on this website by clicking the “Leave a comment” above or by logging onto my Facebook Page enjoy – Click on the image for a larger view.

Overlooking Douglas Marina with the last of todays sun reflecting off the Barbary Coast restaurant on North Quay. Feel free to make any comments either on this website by clicking the “Leave a comment” above or by logging onto my Facebook Page enjoy – Click on the image for a larger view.
The Douglas Hotel and the Clarendon Hotel on North Quay
Who remembers these Pubs on North Quay as part of the Barbary Coast? The Clarendon and Isle of Man Farmers on the right hand side have recently been demolished and rebuilt, they will soon be back as a Pub with offices above. The former Douglas Hotel on the left has been refurbished and that apparently will be a shop with flats above. North Quay in Douglas
Another one of my Street Photography efforts, this time on North Quay in Douglas. The Newson Trading Co Ltd property on the right is probably one of the few surviving oldest buildings in Douglas that are still standing. “The British” – North Quay in Douglas
I have always admired the architecture of this lovely “Old Douglas” building which was opened in 1898. The building was designed by an architect called Armitage Rigby who also designed several houses at Little Switzerland and the cross shelters at Maughold and Kirk Michael (and other buildings). The image was taken from South Quay and overlooking the Douglas Marina towards “The British” and was captured on my Nikon D80 SLR with a Nikon 18-135 F3.5/5.6 G AFS DX lens at 38mm and cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS5.
