Kirk Braddan Old Church. I just love a good old walk around a graveyard especially if it is slightly spooky 🇮🇲 (Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera). I went up to Braddan new Cemetery today to listen to local historian Mr Peter Kelly chat to a group of us about the Archibald Knox designed gravestones, and on the way up I couldn’t help capturing this image of the Chapel. The first glimpse of sunshine for about a week on the Isle of Man so went for a walk up to Maughold Church. The mountain is North Barrule and the ridge top left takes you over to Clagh Ouyr. A fantastic venue for a photographer to capture images of the many interesting aspects of the Isle of Man in History, this graveyard contains so many interesting graves and tombstones and offers us photographers a fantastic opportunity to capture so many dramatic effects depending on light and weather conditions etc… This particular image was captured on my Fuji X10 camera resized and cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS5 Feel free to make any comments either on this website by clicking the “Write comment” below or by logging onto my Facebook page www.facebook.com/manxscenes Click on the image for a larger view.
