Took this image tonight (29 June 11) of Douglas Head whilst on the Ben My Chree which was turning in Douglas Harbour. The building to the left top of image is the former Douglas Head Hotel which is now Douglas Head Apartments, the building on the right is Broadcasting House, which is better known as the building that houses Manx Radio. The image was taken on my Nikon D80 SLR with a Nikon 18-135 F3.5/5.6 G AFS DX lens at 85mm and cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Manx Kipper House – Peel Quayside
I captured Moore’s Manx Kipper curers, curing their kippers on Monday 13th June, the air around the quayside in Peel smelt very strongly of burnt oak shavings, as you can see from the image the roof vents were open and they were well underway with their kipper curing. Just in case the many signs surrounding the building do not stand out, Moore’s cure and sell Manx Kippers!! I had to closely crop this image as there was a lot of overhead cables and the Peel Power Station chimney in the background. The image was taken on my Nikon D80 SLR with a Nikon 18-135 F3.5/5.6 G AFS DX lens at 20mm and cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS5.
Douglas Head Lighthouse
Standing on the steps leading to the Camera Obscura on Douglas Head and overlooking Port Skillion towards Douglas Head Lighthouse. On the bottom image you can see, to the right, the long winding path that you have to take to access the lighthouse. The images were taken on my Nikon D80 SLR with a Nikon 18-135 F3.5/5.6 G AFS DX lens at 28mm and cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS5.
