A nice walk today with the dog along the beach north of Killane and passing the long abandoned Ballateare Farmhouse back and then front.

Probably ancestral home on my mother’s side of Family. Name was Teare of Jurby. Ballateare was put up for sale in 1833. The Family continued to farm at the Loughan until 1930 and the son in law until well beyond then.
