This beautiful building was once owned by Henry Bloom Noble and was bought by Douglas Corporation in 1910 for the sum of £60,000.
The Villa Marina Royal Hall and Gardens were opened in the the summer of 1913 – (click image for larger view).
The image was taken on my Nikon D80 SLR with a Nikon 18-135 F3.5/5.6 G AFS DX lens at 20mm and cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Any chance I might be able to use one of your lovely pictures of the Villa Marina in a post on the Isle of Man Beekeepers website to publicise an international bee improvement conference that will be held on the island in September this year?
I am not sure how this works from a commercial point of view, but I am hoping – perhaps this is cheeky – that you support not-for profits and we wouldn’t have to pay for the use.
I don’t want to take advantage of your good graces, so if these are only available on a commercial basis, i will understand.
