Master Frank in Ramsey Harbour
Master Frank – RY95 is a Manx built, half-decker fishing boat seen here berthed in Ramsey Harbour. Master Frank is the Island’s longest surviving half-decker. Records differ as to whether she was built in 1893 or 1895. Measuring 40ft overall, Master Frank was built by Messrs. Clucas and Duggan, shipwrights, boat and canoe builders and block and spar makers, whose yard was at the rear of Marsden Terrace in Ramsey. Wild Wave – Sailing Into Castletown Harbour
This lovey traditional Yacht called Wild Wave enters Castletown Harbour this afternoon, it had no outboard enging and as there was not much wind the gentleman ended up getting his oars out to complete his journey. I have added the original image and the same image in High Definition Resolution (HDR) so you can tell me which one you prefer! The images were captured on my Fuji X10 camera resized and cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS5 (image 2 dipped in HDR 5) Feel free to make any comments either on this website by clicking the “Write comment” below or by logging onto my Facebook page www.facebook.com/manxscenes Click on the images for a larger view.
