(6 images in this post) Keeill Kickle (St Cecilia), or St Patrick’s Chapel Jurby (with the new St. Patricks Church in the background). A beautiful example of a remaining Manx Keeill at Jurby which was also a day school for children in the area. This is on private land and I did get permission from the landowner to access this beautiful Keeill. In Maughold Parish churchyard lie the remains of three earlier buildings (keeils) which indicate that there was an important centre of Christianity here which was founded before the end of the 7th Century.
